Now, my boudoir shoot. I've been teasing this for a while and whilst I'm not one for parading around in the buff, I thought it would be a bit of fun to share with you. That's certainly better than the shots sitting in one of my bedroom drawers, never to see the light of day. Also, after spending an hour in make-up with the super lovely Make-up By Katy and then being shot by the very nice photography duo from Cocoon Photography, I couldn't really resist. They did make me look amazing and it's a great to see what wonders a little bit of lighting (all natural light), well thought out direction, a bit of makeup and a proper waist clinching corset can do.
The boudoir shoot was held at a gorgeous boutique hotel called The Rectory near Malmesbury in the Cotswolds. It was -5 degrees that day and the room was absolutely freezing! I had brought a little fan heater with me, knowing it would be cold, but nothing prepares you for standing in a draught in front of sash windows half naked in the middle of winter. It was chilly and the fan heater hardly seemed to increase the temperature at all. The four poster bed, demure decor and lovely antiques made for a great setting and we quickly got to work. After an hour in make-up, we got down to business. I ruffled my feathers and the shoot began.
I was surprisingly relaxed. I don't normally strip off and bare all. I'm not even that keen on putting on a bikini on a summer holiday, but the ladies from Cocoon Photography really made me feel at ease. They directed my every move with consideration to all the womanly charms of cellulite, creases and my curvy figure. Curvy is what I am. I am a proper woman, as you'll see below, and they made me look fabulous. I felt like a little star for the day with my glass of champagne, fancy underwear and plenty of props. The boudoir shoot was simply good fun and worth doing whatever the occasion. Heck, you don't even need an occasion, do it for yourself.
And here are the shots. These are just half of them, if you want to see more, you can pop over to Boho Wedding and Event's blog where Kelly will show the rest (you'll have to wait to after the weekend though). Enjoy.

and get your wedding remembered, but most of all keep it 'you'. Remember, if you get stuck, just ask...
