Country Wedding Love Songs

Amazed
Artist: Lonestar
Genre: Country
Release: 1999

An incredibly well-written country love song that still sounds amazing today. This song unsurprisingly made it to #1 on Billboard the year of its release. Definitely my personal favorite of this category.

It's Your Love
Artist: Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
Genre: Country
Release: 1997

When Tim McGraw and Faith Hill got together to create It's Your Love, it was an instant hit. Duet songs are always nice for first dance music, but this one would fit well in a ceremony as well.

I Swear
Artist: John Michael Montgomery
Genre: Country
Release: 1993

Another HUGE country hit that most everyone will remember, I Swear is a popular choice and a great addition to your wedding playlist. John Michael Montgomery proclaims everything he "swears" to do for his girl, which along with a great melody makes a perfect song to pencil in for one of your segments.

Bless The Broken Road
Artist: Rascal Flatts
Genre: Country
Release: 2004

It seems the reviews on Rascal Flatts songs are a mixed bag...you either love them or hate them. I personally think many of their songs work GREAT for weddings, which is why so many are listed on this site. Bless the Broken Road in particular is probably my favorite. It's a great story about how he "accidentally" met the girl of his dreams.

Last Day Of My Life
Artist: Phil Vassar
Genre: Country
Release: 2006

A friend's death reminds the singer of how special each day is with his significant other - he's going to treat her as if everyday was the last day of his life. I still hear this one on the radio every now and then...and every time it makes me think of my personal relationship.

Wedding Songs > Country Wedding Songs

Then
Artist: Brad Paisley
Genre: Country
Release: 2009

Then is relatively new compared to the other country songs on this list, which may be more appropriate if you're sticking to modern music. Brad Paisley sings about how he is "lovestruck" and the lyrics (poetry really, if you ask me) work very well for a first dance song or any other segment.

From This Moment On
Artist: Shania Twain
Genre: Country Pop, Adult Contemporary
Release: 1998

While this song wasn't likely written with a wedding in mind, the lyrics in this Shania Twain hit fit perfectly for the occasion. Shania delivers beautiful vocals in this well-known 90's country love song.

Love Your Love The Most
Artist: Eric Church
Genre: Country
Release: 2008

A little more light-hearted, Eric Church compares his love with his truck, mama's cooking, fishing on Sundays and college football - but as the title implies, he "loves her love the most".

I Cross My Heart
Artist: George Strait
Genre: Country
Release: 1992

An oldie but a goodie, George Strait put out this title for the movie soundtrack of Pure Country in 1992. This song hit a #1 peak position on Billboard's Hot Country Songs.

She's Everything
Artist: Brad Paisley
Genre: Country
Release: 2006

The title says it all. Brad Paisley sings about his significant other and all the things that remind him of her. This song has a nice slow melody that would be nice and easy to dance to.

Wedding Songs > Country Wedding Songs

Breathe
Artist: Faith Hill

A VERY popular Faith Hill hit from the late 90s. It would fit for a dance song or just played as great background music during any wedding segment.

Wanted
Artist: Hunter Hayes
Genre: Country, Country Pop
Release: 2012

A newer song written by the up-and-coming singer/songwriter Hunter Hayes. This song was a huge radio hit and I can see many wedding-goers adding this to their playlist. Hunter sings about how he wants to make his girl feel wanted (by him).

Like Jesus Does
Artist: Eric Church
Genre: Country
Release: 2011

A slower-paced song where Eric Church explains that his significant other "loves him like Jesus does" unconditionally for everything he is, good or bad.

Our Song

Taylor Swift's breakout hit Our Song was actually written for her freshman high school talent show. Most everyone will know the words to this and tap their feet to the tempo. This song would make a good reception piece.

Somebody Like You

Speaking of songs that everyone would know, Somebody Like You makes a great upbeat song for a reception or recessional (ceremony exit). Keith Urban wants to shape up because he's ready to "love somebody like you".

Pickin' Wildflowers

A popular upbeat country hit from 2004. The song's lyrics has Keith picking up a girl to "pick wildflowers". Simple lyrics - yet a great beat to get into the party mood. Good song for a reception.

Life Is A Highway
Artist: Rascal Flatts
Genre: Country Rock

A cover song by Rascal Flatts made for the Disney movie Cars. They expertly remake this song into a country classic. A GREAT song to add to your party playlist and appropriate for the post-wedding get together.

Little Bit Of Life
Artist: Craig Morgan
Genre: Country
Release: 2006

Craig Morgan sings a lot about a little bit! A huge 2006 hit that has an awesome country beat for your after-party. As the the song progresses, the lyrics move more into a love song - which might even leave open the opportunity for you to squeeze a light-hearted ceremony piece in.

Ever Ever After
Artist: Carrie Underwood
Genre: Country Pop
Release: 2007

This song was released for the Disney's live-action musical Enchanted soundtrack in 2007. Disney seems to have a knack for producing fantastic love songs for weddings. Great lyrics for your recessional exit, grand entrance, or any other segment.

Small Town Throwdown
Artist: Brantley Gilbert

Release: Country Rock

One of the best, more modern country party songs. Crank this up during your reception and remind people that it's a celebration!

Wild One

A big hit from the early 90s, Faith Hill sings about a "wild" girl. A good party song that might fit better for some brides than others.

Love You Out Loud
Artist: Rascal Flatts
Genre: Country
Release: 2003

This song is about a guy who, up until finding his girl, was shy...but now all he wants to do is let everyone know how much he loves her. A love song with an up-tempo beat that could be used in the ceremony OR reception.

American Beautiful
Artist: The Henningsens
Genre: Country
Release: 2012

A not-so-known song by the Henningsens. The lyrics explain the unusual traits of men and women that makes them "American Beautiful". A good song for the reception, but the lyrics leave a ceremony segment on the table as well.

Twenty Years Late

An uplifting song from the mother's perspective - yet uniquely mentions the bride-groom relationship in the chorus. The tempo of this song is perfect to dance to and seems it was written specifically for a wedding.

That's What Mamas Do

A more modern, pure-country song for Mom! I love the sentiment of country music and I'm glad Jason Matthews shared his with That's What Mamas Do.

The perfect step-father daughter dance song! Step-dad songs can be a little harder to find, but this one works perfectly. Let your step-father know how much you appreciate him with this song.
