Chloe and Neil's
Country Wedding

You'll love Chloe and Neil's country wedding if you're looking for wedding inspiration that typifies English life in the country with a bit of vintage twist. Well, it's so on trend at the moment, who could resist the charms of vintage?

This wedding isn't all about that though. For me, it's the delights of the location and choice of venue: the cricket club. Anyone for tea and cucumber sandwiches?

The wedding was shot by the wonderfully talented Jon from S6 Photography, whose style I personally love and who captures this wedding beautifully.

Chloe and Neil had got married at the St. Peter's Church in Dumbleton, Worcestershire. Right behind the church is Dumbleton Cricket Club where they held their reception. It's a picture perfect Cotswold village with rolling hills and chocolate box style houses; an absolutely adorable setting for a country wedding.

Chloe went to town and had two dresses. The first dress was for the ceremony and during the day and was from a small clothing boutique in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire. It was a very simple, but elegant dress with a vintage feel. Chloe's evening outfit was from Coast and had been dress she'd been eyeing up for ages. It had a 1950s feel to it and was the cream version of what her bridesmaids wore.

She accessorised with faux fur shrug to keep the September chills at bay, a flower in her hair and some jewellery that her family had bought her. Neil kept it simple with a dark grey suit from Moss Bros and the bridesmaids wore 1950s prom style dresses in aubergine, with faux fur shrugs and matching shoes.

At the reception, they greeted guests with Pimms and served up an Italian style feast, which was followed by plenty of dancing under the marquee's mountains of fairy lights and vintage decorations that Chloe had set up.

For them, it was their venue that was really different and I'd have to agree. Chloe told me "The venue was really unique. I'm not sure how many cricket clubs are as beautiful as where we had our reception! We were particularly lucky to have such a stunning reception location close to our parents' houses." For Chloe, it was all about the reception venue, getting married somewhere that was meaningful to them and the finishing touches on the day.

Thanks to Chloe and Neil for detailed out their country wedding for me, I absolutely adored the cricket club idea, and of course, Jon from S6 Photography for sharing the photographs.
