I love cupcake wrappers. They finish off a cupcake delightfully and making any cupcake tower look wonderfully delicious.
I also have a penchant for pretty paper; cards, stationery and letterpress printing. But my all time favourite is laser cutting and when you mix a customised laser cut design and a cupcake wrapper, (Plus, you usually get a cupcake inside too - bonus!).
My featured vendor today is Paperfiction, who took the time to show me some of their delightful lasercut wrappers.
It is an artist and designer, currently based in London. He has been developing several designs in paper and has been selling these cute little wrappers on his Etsy store aperfiction since May.
What I really like about what he does, is that he can customise the wrapper designs to suit your event or occasion, whether it be images or text, which can then develop into a suitable design.
Laser cutting is so intricate and precise, and looks so beautiful. It's a challenge to work with this material because it is so fragile and can easily burn. They told me that he's been experimenting with lots of different types of paper to ensure the perfect finish whilst still keeping the texture and colour interesting. Some of his favourites include parchment and pearlescent paper.
Here are some images of his latest wrappers creations. The one with the clogs was a custom design for a steampunk wedding!
For a full range of his wrappers visit his Etsy store Paperfiction.
