Steps To Sultry smokey Eye Wedding Makeup

Smokey eye wedding makeup can give you sultry evening eyes and you can go from the clear, natural look of your wedding  to this heavier, more defined look in minutes for your evening party.

Or you can choose to make your eyes your statement wedding feature with a smokey emphasis, particularly on the outer corners  - but no tears allowed with this eye makeup design!

Even if you adore a heavy smokey style of make-up, you will need to soften it slightly so that it works with your dress, particularly if that is soft, romantic and pretty.  Your make-up must compliment your wedding dress.

Banish Dark Circles

We're talking sultry here but we're definitely not talking dark circles  -  so get rid of tired-looking eyes first, unless you want to be a panda look-alike!

Get lots of sleep is the number one priority before the big day.

Then use an eye cream to refresh and hydrate; followed by a concealer to cover if necessary.   Start with flawless looking skin to look your very best.

How To Apply Smokey Eye Wedding Makeup

  1. Define the eyes by applying a soft black kohl pencil (or a long wear gel eyeliner) to the inner rim and under the lashes of the lower eyelid.
  2. Dot across the rim of the lower eyelid, just under the black kohl, with a bronze or grey kohl pencil.
  3. Bleed the bronze or grey into the black with a soft blending brush.
  4. Use the same bronze or grey pencil along the top lash line, making the line become thicker towards the outer corner.  With your eyes open, pull out to create a soft wing, if you like.
  5. Apply a deep complementing shadow across the lid and blend into the socket line.
  6. Thick fluttery eyelashes are essential for this look so I would seriously consider adding falsies or, if tears are on the agenda, play it safe with a good waterproof formula mascara and really get into the roots of the lashes for a full-on lift.

Hey presto! Cool and sexy smokey eye wedding makeup, and stress free.

More shimmer

For a more shimmery evening look, try one of the new metallic  shadows.

Add a small amount of pink or white highlighter to the inner corners of the eyes and/or under the brow, as a final touch to this smoky design.

You can use a soft pink lipstick with this look too.

Define your brows with a soft, matte shadow which matches your hair colour.  Brush the brows up and fill in softly to create a wide brow.
